Academic Enrichment

Higher Achievement
higher achievement logoHigher Achievement is a free, after school academic enrichment program focused on closing the achievement gap for scholars in DC. Their core model includes community meetings, literacy tutoring and enrichment, mentoring, and high school exploration and placement. The organization works with scholars from the 5th–8th Grade. Higher Achievement is currently recruiting 5th, 6th and 7th Grade scholars who are passionate and dedicated to their academic growth as well as their social and emotional well-being. Programming will be 3–4 days weekly from 3:30–6:30 pm. If you are interested in your scholar joining the Higher Achievement community, please complete an application.

Students can now stay after school in the library on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday until 4:15, unless the library is closed for a meeting. Students should head straight to the library from their 4th period class if they wish to stay after school. (If they have a cell phone to pick up, they may pick that up first.) Watch the family newsletter for a monthly library calendar with programs and activities. If you have any questions, please reach out to school librarian Ms. Rose.
