Clubs

Eliot-Hine offers a number of lunch and after school clubs for all kinds of interests. Check this space as clubs may be added throughout the year!

Anime Club

This lunch club will be starting soon—students should stay tuned!

Book Clubs

book clubs-fallThis year we will have two book clubs: one for 6th Graders and one for 7th/8th Graders. Both clubs will read five books; students will vote on the books as a group from different genres/format. If students have sports or other meetings one season, they are welcome to drop in during the year or can talk with their coaches/advisors about alternating attendance. Meetings will be held Thursdays (unless noted), 3:45–4:45 pm in the library, alternating each week between 6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade; see schedule and permission slip. Advisor: Ms. Rose

Fly by Light

Fly by Light logoThis program dives deeper into our core values of art and music education, social-emotional learning, and social movements and causes. Our hope is to empower the next generation of activists and leaders for our community through our programming and curriculum. Please let Mr. Niko know if your student is interested, and he will follow up with them! Advisor: Mr. Niko Centeno-Monroy

We the Girls

This Afro-centric program is aimed at 6th Graders (but open to others) to explore identity, relationships, self esteem, body image, etc. We are looking for more girls to join! Advisors: Ms. Harris and Ms. Morse

WISE Mentoring

The program, targeted to girls and students identifying as female in Grades 7–8 (but open also to Grade 6); pairs students with a George Washington University female student for mentoring. Now recruiting!
