Eliot-Hine was thrilled to host a visit from President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden to welcome students back to school!

Welcome Students and Families!

We're looking forward to another exceptional year of learning at Eliot-Hine! Be sure to get your immunizations, stock up on supplies, and brush up on our school policies to get a jump start on a successful school year.

Parents/caregivers—please save the date for Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 13 at 6 pm. We can't wait show you what we have in store for this year!

DCPS Immunization and Health Form Compliance Notice

To attend all DCPS schools, students must be current with their immunizations. Immunization compliance is documented by submitting a completed Universal Health Certificate to the school at the time of enrollment. The DCPS School Health Packet should be turned in to the school as part of the enrollment process, and any updated forms throughout the school year should be submitted to the school nurse. As a reminder, health forms are valid for 1 year from the date of the previous exam. If you have questions or need support in meeting this requirement, please reach out to Connected Schools Manager Lena Heid.

Eliot-Hine Middle School is a Connected School

Connected Schools are schools that partner with the community to provide an integrated approach to academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement.

If your family is experiencing challenges around food insecurity, housing or basic needs, grief and loss, mental health/wellness, or COVID, we can help. We are here to serve our entire school community, and this includes ensuring your family has the necessary means to thrive.

For confidential support and resources, or to learn more about partnering or volunteer opportunities, please contact our Connected Schools Manager Lena Heid.

Join the PTO!

The Eliot-Hine Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) plays an important role in supporting the principal, staff, and school. PTO meetings are held through the year, generally on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 pm. (For now, meetings are virtual via Microsoft Teams.) We hope you will consider becoming a PTO member!
